# Check block trees

> Validate rendered block trees with the same validator Reintersect runs when it stores them.

> Reintersect apps are in developer preview. Names and limits can still change before general
> release.

Validates rendered trees without storing anything. `reintersect check` sends every block it renders
here when you're signed in. The endpoint reads no workspace data.

Authenticate with a member API key, a deploy token or an agent builder token. Each caller can make at
most 60 calls a minute.

## Body

| Field | Description |

| `trees` | 1 to 100 `{ key, tree }`: a unique `key` (1 to 64 characters) you choose, and the tree as JSON. Each tree is at most 256 KB and 64 levels deep; the batch at most 2 MB. |

Trees are app output: images use `src` URLs, and audience slots aren't allowed.

## Response

`{ results: [{ key, issues: [{ path, message, code }] }] }`. `code` is `malformed`, `unknownNode`,
`unknownMark`, `invalidAttrs`, `invalidContent` or `limitExceeded`. An empty `issues` list means the
tree is valid.

## Errors

| `ReintersectApiInvalidRequestError` | 400 | Not JSON trees, duplicate keys or over budget. |
| `ReintersectApiRateLimitExceededError` | 429 | Over 60 a minute. |
