# Save a memory

> Save a fact to workspace memory, credited to your app.

> Reintersect apps are in developer preview. Names and limits can still change before general
> release.

Queues a memory and answers `202 Accepted`. Reintersect saves it in the background with your app as
its source. See [Search and memories](/search-and-memories#memories).

Authenticate with an install token that has the `memories:write` scope. Each install can save at most 60 memories a
minute.

## Body

| `text` | `string` | Yes | The fact, at most 600 characters. |
| `circleId` | `string` | No | Save it as a circle memory. Without it, a workspace memory. The circle must be one your app can [reach](/concepts/install-and-consent#reach). Development installs always store the memory for the developer only. |
| `about` | `{ memberId? }` | No | The member the fact is about. |
| `source` | `{ url, title }` | No | Where the fact comes from: an `https://` URL and a title of at most 200 characters. |

## Errors

| `_tag` | Status | Cause |

| `ReintersectAppScopeMissingError` | 403 | The install lacks `memories:write`. |
| `ReintersectAppCircleNotFoundError` | 404 | The circle isn't in the workspace, or your app can't reach it. `circleIds` holds the circle you sent. |
| `ReintersectAppMemberNotFoundError` | 404 | `about.memberId` isn't a member of the workspace. |
| `ReintersectApiRateLimitExceededError` | 429 | Over 60 a minute. |
