# Install link

> Send a workspace admin to Reintersect to approve your app, and get a code back.

> Reintersect apps are in developer preview. Names and limits can still change before general
> release.

The install link starts a workspace install. It's a page in Reintersect, not an API call: send the
admin's browser to it.

```text theme={null}
GET https://app.reintersect.com/apps/install
```

## Query parameters

| Parameter | Required | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `client_id` | Yes | Your app's client ID. |
| `redirect_uri` | Yes | One of the redirect URIs registered for the app (https, or http on localhost; no fragment). |
| `code_challenge` | Yes | The PKCE challenge: base64url SHA-256 of your `code_verifier`. |
| `code_challenge_method` | Yes | `S256`. |
| `state` | Recommended | An opaque value you check when the browser comes back. |

The page shows the consent screen. Only workspace owners and admins can approve; private apps can only
be installed in their own workspace. Installing again replaces the install's settings and moves it to
the latest version.

## Redirect

After approval, Reintersect redirects to `redirect_uri` with:

| Parameter | Description |
| - | - |
| `code` | Single use, valid for 10 minutes. Exchange it with [`POST /v0/apps/oauth/token`](/api-reference/install/token). |
| `state` | Your `state`, unchanged. |

If the admin cancels, the redirect carries `error=access_denied` and `state`. A link with an unknown
client, an unregistered redirect URI or a malformed challenge shows an error page and never redirects.
